Pricing & Operations Associate

Position Overview

We're looking for a detail-driven, sports-loving Pricing & Operations Associate to support both our Pricing and Operations teams in managing, valuing, and processing trading card inventory, with focus around our growing Instant Rips business line. This hybrid role is ideal for someone passionate about the sports collectibles industry, eager to grow their expertise in card pricing, logistics, grading workflows, and asset management.

You'll play a vital part in maintaining accurate pricing data, tracking market trends, and ensuring the integrity and efficient movement of assets in and out of our vault. Whether you're organizing cards by era, submitting them for grading, or researching sales comps, your work will directly impact how we evaluate, buyback, and present our inventory through our Instant Rips business.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing & Market Research

• Enter and update card pricing data in internal systems with precision.
• Research recent card sales and market trends using tools like eBay, Fanatics, Card Ladder, and others.
• Monitor performance of key cards/categories and flag notable value shifts.
• Learn to identify high-value cards and sets through hands-on work and mentorship.
• Collaborate with pricing, operations, and customer support to ensure data accuracy and alignment.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Intake, title, and detail card inventory, focused on Instant Rips, using standard naming conventions (e.g., player, team, year, set).
• Maintain and update Excel-based inventory tracking sheets for real-time asset visibility.
• Conduct physical evaluations of raw cards for grading suitability and apply proper protection (e.g., penny sleeve, top loader).
• Manage grading submission workflows, tracking status and timelines with third-party graders.

Vault, Logistics, & Fulfillment

• Prepare assets for vault storage, ensuring secure handling and proper categorization.
• Capture and archive card images and videos for authentication and listing purposes.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments with accuracy, including high-volume fulfillment cycles.
• Support tradeshow operations and assist with Buy Now program execution as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in sports, trading cards, or collectibles whether through professional experience or personal collecting.
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, inventory management, or operational tasks.
• Experience working with spreadsheets or data tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or inventory software.
• Ability to analyze data and spot trends, particularly related to pricing, value shifts, or market patterns.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, such as standing for extended periods, lifting inventory boxes, and carefully handling high-value collectibles.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

• Experience with trading card marketplaces (e.g., eBay, PWCC, COMC, Alt) as a buyer, seller, or analyst.
• Familiarity with card grading companies and processes, including PSA, BGS, SGC, or CGC.
• Knowledge of popular sports card brands, sets, and eras (e.g., Topps, Panini, Upper Deck; vintage vs. modern).
• Exposure to logistics, shipping, or inventory control in a collectibles or e-commerce environment.
• Basic photo/video capture and editing skills for product presentation and authentication processes.
• Understanding of TCG (Trading Card Games) like Pokmon, Magic: The Gathering, or Yu-Gi-Oh!
